Everton produced the perfect response to going a goal down as they struck three times in seven second-half minutes to claim a 3-1 win over Burnley.
Ben Mee’s header gave Burnley the lead early in the second half at Goodison Park but Rafael Benitez’s side struck back and then some.
Former Burnley defender Michael Keane got the equaliser with a header of his own on the hour.
The match was turned on its head five minutes later when Andros Townsend beat Nick Pope all ends up with a stunning effort from 25 yards out.
And Everton raced to a 3-1 lead when man of the moment Demarai Gray slotted the ball home after latching onto Abdoulaye Doucoure’s inch-perfect pass on the counter moments later.
The only dampener on the night for Everton was news that Dominic Calvert-Lewin is out for 2-3 weeks with a broken toe and thigh injury.
