Kim “Colde” Hee-soo has announced that he will be collaborating with Baekhyun on his upcoming single called When Dawn Comes Again. He made the announcement as he took to his social media handle.
The news has brought immense joy for fans as Colde and EXO’s Baekhyun are the best when it comes to the R&B genre. Not only that, the single is set to release sooner than we anticipated, i.e. on July 21st at 6 PM Korean Standard Time. However, before releasing the collab, Kim released his song, Next Level on July 14th.
Colde had previously performed a cover of Baekhyun’s song, Love Scene before he announced the collab. He shared it on Instagram at that time with his followers. However, fans were already speculating that something might be up with the two artists. All of that was proved to be right when Colde made his announcement. Fans are unaware of what the genre and theme of the song will be.
EXO’s Baekhyun is already speculated to have been working on various other projects. As per reports, he is working on a track with NCT’s Taeyong as well. The singer had released a mini-album back in March called Bambi. Baekhyum also announced back then that he would be enlisting for compulsory military service.
At that time, he said, “I was thinking about how I can say this. And I thought I should only say the facts for my EXO-Ls to understand”. He further added that the end of March was the cutline to enlist. The singer continued that within that time, he is preparing everything from his solo album, SuperM and group album.
However, it was later revealed that Baekhyun will not be signing up for active military duty; but he would serve as a social service worker. Just a few weeks after his announcement about enlisting; Dispatch had reported that he was exempted from active duty due to hypothyroidism. After this, people were not happy and he received immense backlash. However, fans seem to be back on his side as they are waiting for this collab with Colde to release soon.
