Cristiano Ronaldo took time out from Manchester United’s warm-up to check on a steward hit by a ball before the Champions League clash with Young Boys.
All eyes were on the Portugal icon, fresh off the back of two goals on his second Premier League debut, as the Red Devils kick-started their 2021/21 campaign in Europe.
Ronaldo would put United in front, but the 36-year-old made his mark before the game even started in Switzerland.
Upon noticing a female member of staff had been struck by a stray ball at the Stade de Suisse, Ronaldo jumped over the barrier to check on her.
The steward was already receiving medical attention and the forward spent a moment talking to her before returning to the warm-up.
Ronaldo was making his 177th appearance in the Champions League, equalling the record held by Real Madrid legend Iker Casillas.
The United striker is already the competition’s all-time leading goalscorer and added to that tally by netting his 135th Champions League goal in the 13th minute.
It means the five-time Ballon d’Or winner already has three goals in two games since returning to Old Trafford.
