Hafthor Bjornsson’s fight with Eddie Hall may not be going ahead as planned in September, but the former World’s Strongest Man is carrying on with his boxing training.
In a video posted on YouTube, Thor displays his incredible power where he challenged bodybuilder/YouTuber Jesse James West to take a punch from him.
Hall posted a similar video a few months ago when he incredibly lifted gymnast Nile Wilson off the ground.
Thor displayed similar power in the video and West seemed ever so slightly concerned at the start, saying: “You might kill me, I should probably sign a waiver.”
He was wearing protective gear around his torso to protect him from the full force of the punches, but that didn’t stop him crumbling in agony on the ground.
It started off with Thor, who is a southpaw, using his right hand to punch West – with them going up in 20 per cent increments.
West is only able to get up to 60 per cent of The Mountain from Game of Thrones’ power with his left hand, before rolling around on the canvas in agony and stopping.
Thor is likely to step into the ring in September, despite his fight with Eddie Hall being postponed, but no opponent has been announced.
Hall tore his bicep off the bone and required surgery, putting the fight back until next year.
The rest of the card in Florida is still going ahead as planned, with more time to wait until we see the two former World’s Strongest Men settle their feud in the ring.
