Haseen Dillruba, starring Taapsee Pannu, Vikrant Massey, Harshvardhan Rane, and Aditya Srivastava, has a teaser on Netflix. The film, directed by Vinil Mathew (Hasee Toh Phasee), is about a lady whose heart aspires to live like words in a novel, but she becomes caught in the murder of her own husband.
Haseen Dillruba is written by Dhillon, who is recognised for her work on Judgementall Hai Kya and the Pannu-starrer Manmarziyaan. The film is being produced by Aanand L Rai’s Colour Yellow Production in partnership with Eros International and Himanshu Sharma.
“I have always been attracted in stories that examine the numerous diversity of human relationships,” Mathew said in a press release about the film. Kanika Dhillon’s storey Haseen Dillruba is an example of an edgy story. It was an honour to work with such a talented cast, Color Yellow Productions, and T-Series. I’m incredibly excited to show it to the rest of the globe on Netflix.”
The film was supposed to be released in theatres in September, but due to the coronavirus outbreak, it was postponed indefinitely. Netflix stated earlier this year that the film would be available on its platform on July 2nd.
