Daniel Dubois knocked out Bogdan Dinu inside two rounds to get back on track on Saturday night.
The 23-year-old heavyweight prospect returned to the ring for the first time since suffering his first career defeat to Joe Joyce last November, and showed little ring rust.
The fight began with with a positive opener for Dubois.
The youngster jabbed well and followed up with his strong right hand, firing warning shots to Dinu early on.
Towards the end of the first, Dubois staggered Dinu with a combination, but the Romanian quickly regained composure.
The writing was on the wall.
At the start of round two, Dubois landed a massive right hand which flattened Dinu.
He was unable to make it back to his feet and subsequently counted out for a KO.
Dubois reacted: “I’m glad to be back, glad to be back.
“I just stuck to instructions and I’m so happy man, it’s great.
“My sister just qualified for the Olympics and I’m glad I’m back, picked up a belt as well.”
