Liverpool kick-off their Champions League campaign with a tough tie against old foes and Serie A giants AC Milan.
This will be only the second match between these two sides since Liverpool’s infamous ‘Miracle of Istanbul’ when then came from three down to claim Champions League glory in 2005.
Liverpool have started the new season well and will be going into this tie with confidence following their 3-0 win against Leeds on Sunday.
Milan will also have momentum after three wins from three in Serie A so far this term.

This Group B tie is set for Wednesday, September 15. It will take place at Anfield with a kick-off at 8pm.
Liverpool have only played the Italian club twice in their history, both in Champions League finals, claiming glory in 2005 before losing 2-1 in the 2007 final.

Liverpool’s Harvey Elliott sustained a horrific injury on Sunday as he just started to feature as a regular.
The midfielder has since travelled to London for surgery on his ankle and is expected to miss months of football.
Takumi Minamino is also out injured and will miss the Champions League tie.
Milan will be without their star striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic due to an achilles injury.
The late injury is the only issues to affect Stefano Pioli’s side.
