Exclusive: Japhet Tanganga is sent off and Odsonne Edouard makes instant impact with two goals as Arsenal legend Patrick Vieira seals win against Tottenham for Crystal Palace

Patrick Vieira sealed his first Premier League win as Crystal Palace manager – the Arsenal legend overseeing a 3-0 triumph against Tottenham.

A penalty from Wilfried Zaha two Odsonne Edouard strikes sealed the three points for the Eagles at Selhurst Park.

Spurs offered little throughout the contest but crumbled after Japhet Tanganga was sent off in the 57th minute.

Tanganga was dismissed for two bookable offences, the first came for a confrontation with Zaha after he pushed Palace’s star man to the ground.

And the defender’s second yellow came just five minutes later as he caught Jordan Ayew when making a sliding challenge.

But take nothing away from Palace, who were the better side throughout the contest and look like they’ve got a prolific goalscorer in Edouard on their hands.

The first half belonged to Palace even if they struggled to create many clear-cut chances. The contest turned when Tanganga was sent off.

Palace got their penalty shortly after when Conor Gallagher’s strike struck Ben Davies on the arm – talkSPORT’s Dean Ashton labelled it a ‘harsh’ call by Jon Moss.

Zaha was in no mood to sympathise as he slotted the spot-kick home, sending Hugo Lloris the wrong way.

Not satisfied with sitting on the lead, Vieira threw on new signing Edouard on 84 minutes and the Frenchman repaid the manager’s faith within seconds.

His first goal came as his left-footed effort deflected in off Davies and Edouard scored another with his left as he lifted it beyond Lloris after Gallagher found him in acres of space in stoppage-time.
