Exclusive: Shock-Absorbing Jackhammers : Jelly Breaker jackhammer

The conceptual ‘Jelly Breaker’ jackhammer has been designed by Shin Youngjin as a health-focused piece of equipment for construction workers that would help them to potentially avoid injury while on the job.

The jackhammer is paired with an air pump and cushion inside the portion that would traditionally make contact with the operator’s abdomen. This would work to absorb the impact that would usually be relayed to the operator, causing discomfort during short-term use and potentially even larger problems down the road.

The conceptual ‘Jelly Breaker’ jackhammer maintains the design aesthetic of the original piece of equipment, but positions it in a health-focused light to help construction workers perform their duties without having to deal with constant discomfort.
