As part of a weekend of planned demonstrations, Spurs supporters turned up outside the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium around midday on Saturday to make their feelings known.

There were numerous banners calling for ENIC and Levy to go, while chants carried the same message.

One sign read: “£NIC out. Profit before glory”.

Another featured a play on the club’s motto, To Dare Is To Do, reading: “To Dare Is Too Dear”

It follows protests at Chelsea, Arsenal, Liverpool and most recently Manchester United as fury over the Super League idea continues.

Like at United, the outrage is not focused solely on the Super League project, with fans expressing a more general discontent towards the running of their club.

Another banner read: “If you don’t win anything, you have had a bad season” – Bill Nicholson. 20 years. 1 League Cup. Levy Out”.

Like Chelsea, Tottenham have tried to appease their Supporters’ Trust by announcing fan presence on future board meetings, however there remains tension between both parties over a lack of talks in recent weeks.

Interim manager Ryan Mason called for harmony between the club and its fan base earlier this week.

He said: “I respect the fans, they’re the heart and soul of the football club and their opinion matters, it really does. We want our fans, our team, our football club to be aligned, all pulling in the same direction.”
